The Twilight Zone's One Hour Episodes:
Is Longer Better?

Class Platform: Paradise Campus

Day/Time: Thursday, 9 - 10:45 AM, February 4 - April 15, *10 week class*

Class Description: In 1963 the Twilight Zone’s fourth season changed to a one-hour show for its 18 episodes. The new format offered twice the story and a chance to explore ideas in more depth. But was it a change for the better? The experiment lasted only one season before reverting back to a 30-minute time slot. We will watch a selection of the one hour episodes and discuss the stars, and story lines, and why the writers and producers extended the show’s length.

Instructor Biographies: Dan Mysliborski retired from Ocean Spray Manufacturing in 2011. He has been a Las Vegas resident since 1992 and a student at OLLI at UNLV since 2013. He graduated from DeSales University in 1980 with an accounting degree. He is a fan of television from the 50s and 60s and has enjoyed Twilight Zone since its original broadcast in 1959.
